Revised plans for the new Library and Community Centre will be on display at Hale Library, Leigh Road from April 23rd to June 14th 2019.

The new plans include comments and suggestions made during the extensive consultation with local residents, businesses and community groups.  As a result, significant changes have been incorporated to the exterior design of the building and its overall size.  Further work has also been carried out on issues relating to noise, parking and the environment.

Two planning applications have now been submitted to Trafford Borough Council’s planning department.  One application shows the revised plans for the demolition of the existing Hale Library and its replacement with mixed housing and retail unit.  A separate application details the demolition of the existing bowling green pavilion which will be re-housed in the new two storey building which will comprise the new library and flexible community space.

Members of Hale Community Trust and supporters of the project will be available to discuss the plans and answer any questions during library opening times until June 14th.
