Trafford planners will meet next week to decide on whether plans for Hale’s new Community Centre and Library will be given the go ahead,
Two separate but linked applications were sent to Trafford Council in April this year. These set out joint proposals from HCT and Hillcrest Homes to redevelop the current library site to create new housing and retail units and establish a new Community Centre and Library next to Hale bowling green by replacing the existing pavilion.
Planning applications for both schemes, which have been recommended for approval, will be decided at a meeting of Trafford Council’s Planning and Development Management Committee which will take place on Thursday August 8th at 6.30pm in Committee Suite, Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, Manchester, M32 OTH. Please come along and support the scheme.
HCT has been a driving force behind these proposals and worked hard with the local community to ensure both schemes reflect the needs and aspirations of local businesses and residents. Extensive consultation at Hale Library during May and June demonstrated clear support for the project and resulted in almost 200 letters of support being sent to Trafford’s planning department.
